Working closely with the rest of the engineering team, you will investigate possible solutions, make recommendations and implement:

Infrastructure as Code for Cable’s GCP estate
GCP environment separation, backup and disaster recovery practices
Monitoring and alerting of cloud resources and key application metrics
Security best practices to ensure the security and compliance of our systems
Developer experience and reliability improvements across CI/CD
Continuous improvements of our infrastructure and processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs

You could be a great fit if you have experience with some of the following

At least one IaC library (e.g Terraform)
Working with a cloud provider, GCP preferred as that is the platform we use
Hardening infrastructure and implementing security controls across a cloud environment
Monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
Data Security processes when dealing with sensitive data in a Cloud environment
Managing Kubernetes & Airflow
Implementing CI/CD with a focus on developer experience
You have carried out similar work in a startup environment

We are an early stage startup and the role will develop significantly over the coming months. We’re looking for someone who enjoys deploying and scaling new tools to unlock new capabilities for engineering teams. £90,000-£110,000 per annum
