We’re looking to bring onboard our General Manager US to lead and grow Obol’s presence in the United States. As the founding US sales hire, you’ll play a pivotal role in establishing and scaling Obol’s footprint in the market, selling directly to finance leaders across companies of all sizes. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a self-driven and entrepreneurial individual to lay the foundation for success, build relationships, and create a lasting impact on Obol’s growth.You’ll own the end-to-end sales cycle, craft strategies to drive results, and work closely with the founders to shape our go-to-market playbook in the US. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, excels at building from the ground up, and has a proven track record in scaling sales.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead US Expansion: Build Obol’s presence in the US market by driving revenue growth and owning the sales process from prospecting to close.
- Sales Execution: Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals with finance leaders and C-level executives.
- Customer Relationships: Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their cash flow needs.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Marketing, Product, and Operations to deliver seamless client experiences and refine our value proposition.
- Build the Foundation: Set the stage for future growth by developing scalable sales processes and laying the groundwork for a larger US team.
- Represent Obol: Serve as the face of Obol in the US, attending industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand recognition.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 7+ years in B2B sales, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets in fintech, SaaS, or financial services. Experience selling to finance teams and C-level executives is essential.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is eager to build something from the ground up. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and creating structure in a startup environment.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead by example, inspire confidence, and lay the foundation for scaling a sales team. Experience developing go-to-market strategies and scaling sales operations.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and compelling way.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel and adapt to the demands of a US-based sales role, collaborating with Obol’s global team.
