About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior BDR to accelerate our top-of-funnel growth and help drive qualified pipeline. You’ll be the first human contact finance leaders have with Obol—so your role is critical. You’ll research and engage CFOs, VPs of Finance, and Controllers across North America, run high-quality conversations, and engage finance leaders in strategic discovery sessions that position the value of a follow-on product demonstration.
We’re looking for someone who can think strategically, personalize outreach, and run persuasive, value-based conversations. You’ll work closely with saless, marketing, and the leadership team to refine our sales motion and ensure Obol stands out as we reshape the way in which businesses manage cash flow.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Identify and engage target accounts through outbound prospecting—email, phone, video, and social channels.
- Run live qualification sessions with finance leaders, understand their pain points, and position the value of a tailored product demonstration.
- Own the early-stage customer journey: first impressions, clear articulation of Obol’s value, and effective handoffs to the sales team.
- Refine messaging and prospecting strategies based on strategic data analysis of feedback and results.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product to share insights, improve targeting, and shape go-to-market strategy.
- Continuously manage, track, analyze sales data across your suite of tools (CRM, research and engagement platforms in order to optimize conversion rates from conversation to demo.
What We’re Looking For
- Sales Experience: 4+ years in a BDR, AE, or hybrid role, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or B2B solutions targeted at finance. You’ve carried pipeline goals—and ideally a quota—and know how to close a deal, not just hand it off.
- Executive Communication: You’re confident engaging senior finance stakeholders live—CFOs, VPs of Finance, Controllers—and guiding them through complex conversations with clarity and authority.
- Strategic Prospecting: You go beyond activity volume. You research deeply, personalize effectively, and map pain points to value in ways that spark meaningful engagement.
- Closing Mentality: You’re not afraid to close the loop. You’re capable of owning the entire deal when it makes sense, especially in fast-moving interactions.
