As Senior Legal Counsel, Employment, you will act as a strategic advisor across the full employee lifecycle, from executive compensation and complex hiring to sensitive terminations. You will lead global internal investigations and develop scalable policies that satisfy both U.S. and EMEA compliance requirements. By partnering with the People team and managing outside counsel, you will proactively mitigate global risk and support the Global Head of Employment Law on high-stakes escalations.

What will you do?

  • Lead and take initiative on internal investigations, including employee complaints, workplace conduct matters, and policy violations, and advise on and support any required remediation efforts.
  • Act as a trusted counselor on the full employee lifecycle, including complex hiring, performance management, executive compensation, and sensitive terminations.
  • Partner closely with the People team and other internal stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate employment‑related risks.
  • Develop, review, and help implement employment policies, practices, and best‑in‑class frameworks that scale globally while accounting for local requirements.
  • Support the Lead Employment Counsel on complex or high‑risk matters, including escalations, sensitive employee issues, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel as needed and help manage costs and outcomes effectively.

What skills and experience should you bring?

  • You have a JD with 6+ years of employment law experience
  • You're familiar with and have advised on key employment law frameworks such as non-competes, separations, disability claims, and recruiting.
  • You have a well-grounded knowledge of US employment law.
  • You demonstrate sound and practical business judgment.
  • You have the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced and demanding work environment and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have a bias and drive for action, learning and problem solving.
  • You are highly responsive with a service-focused approach.
  • You are both a collaborative teammate and able to work independently.
  • You have 4+ years of in-house experience at a technology company.
  • Experience working closely with People Team in EMEA and/or other jurisdictions

This U.S. role has a base pay range that will vary based on the location of the candidate. For some locations, a different pay range may apply. If so, this range will be provided to you during the recruiting process. You can also reach out to the recruiter with any questions.

Base Salary Range

$176,000—$215,000 USD
