This role sits in team Vostok, named after the ship that Yuri Gagarin made the first manned orbital space flight in, back in 1961. As a developer on this team, you will be working on the large, technically challenging code base behind the social network of the site - improving how TradingView users publish content and communicate with each other on the platform! We have a large, highly engaged community of dedicated users and we are looking for user-focused, technically minded UI developers who can help improve existing tools and build new ones for sharing trading ideas, commenting on market trends and publishing unique content on TradingView.

The Spainish team

Our tech stack: JavaScript, ReactJS, TypeScript with NodeJS and Python, Django on the backend

You’ll be responsible for:

• Designing and developing the frontend systems for content publishing and social networking
• Closely interacting with frontend developers, the analytics team and product designers to deliver a great user experience and product for our customers
• Building business logic into the frontend with a focusing on performance and a smooth user experience
• Reviewing teammates’ code
• Documenting the API
• Writing unit tests
• Suggesting new approaches, techniques and best practices to the wider team to ensure we are following industry leading standards

Qualifications

• A deep knowledge of JavaScript, React and TypeScript
• Experience building user-centric, performant front ends using JavaScript, React and TypeScript
• Intellectual curiosity, great problem-solving skills and passion for continuous improvement
• Happy getting involved in a mix of projects to drive TradingView forward

It’ll also be an advantage if you have experience in:

• Understanding of the inner workings of social networking systems
• Experience with Python or NodeJS so you can dip into the backend if required
• Finance experience or knowledge of Trading
• Knowledge of TradingView 😁
